The world is like the moon. There are times that you see its beauty. There are times that you see its darkness. There are even times when it is shrouded by the clouds. Reach for the stars. Then you will always see its beauty. -My father

I am writing a story.

Posted by JinNJuice - May 1st, 2009

I thought that I should share my little tale. So, here I go....

Before you read, keep in mind that I had some inspirations. You should also read in a well lit room, and make sure you have enough free time. I had originally wrote this on college ruled line paper. This part is 4 pages long. I have written 12 pages. Ok then. Enjoy.

Compass
Part 1 - I Am Here

Same streets. Same lights. Same crowd... Will anything ever change?
My name is Kitanagi Inoue. It's been a year since I graduated from high school. Sometimes, I think that I'm a strange guy. Why would I want change? It's not like I can give anything. I'd rather people around me walk the other way that I head towards... No. In reality, people are headed towards what is behind me. I think, however, that someone is following me. I can hear the same footsteps beating slowly, as if there is no simple path. Curiosity strikes my mind so I decide to say put to see if someone passes ahead of me. Then, I realized that the sounds that which I heard have ended.
"I found you."
I have identified a woman as those soft calming words seep into my head. Somehow, I refused to cast my eyes upon her. She must be talking to someone else. Yeah. I don't recall ever hearing such a tender voice. She wouldn't talk to a stranger such as I...
"What do you want?"
Words slip from my mouth. Why did I respond? I know she isn't talking to me. I must be talking to myself. That's the only reasonal explanation.
"I'm glad you asked."
... I was mistaken. The woman is communicating with me, a guy. I turn around to confirm our connection. As I'm still surprised, I behold a blue and white figure covered in a violet waterfall. Her eyes, which are also violet, stun me. I'm amazed that such beauty interacts with me. What should I do??
She hold and pulls my hips to hers, and she leans close to my face. Then, she speaks in my ear.
"I want...-"
This can't be happening. This must be a dream. What can I give? I have nothing. I can't even move... She still wants something. Definitely. No one will stop her. In fact, the street that I walk becomes empty, just like it does every day. She still seeks for her needs. She lifts her arms to my back, as if to embrace me. She continuously colds me closer. My heart beats uncontrollably.
This is bad. I observe her violet eyes as they dissolve into red. Then, I realized that there is only one thing i can give...
"-... your blood."
I feel a sharp sensation dig into the left side of my neck. It hurts, but I don't flinch. Not one part of my body moves a single inch. I want to move. I want to get away. I want to wake up...
But this isn't a dream.
I gaze upon the only witness that shines bright in the night sky. My mind loses thought as it swirls into a twister, and my body loses blood while I fall into a pit. I must have lost over half a pint of blood already. Yet, I'm still alive. I can see the woman crouching in front of me. She is holding my shoulders to keep me up. Her eyes now glow a dim yellow.
"Will you do as I say?"
She asks me a strange question at a strange time. Is she threatening my life? I don't know what to say. It's only been a minute that has passed, but I'm losing consciousness as I kneel. Then, I noticed an expression on her face. She seems confused. Her eyes return to violet.
"Ehh? Usually, my targets respond. Are... you ok?"
"... Why are you concerned about me?"
"You acted different from everyone else. Your mind would have been manipulated already."
"What? What are you?"
"Oh! My name is Yoshinori Katsuki. I am a Shinso."
Shinso? As in a real vampire? A Shito would be a human that becomes a vampire, but a Shinso is already a vampire since birth. It's similar to Dracula.
I hear another woman echo her voice.
"That's enough!"
Another figure falls from the moon. She wears a tanktop with jeans, and she has a fiery brown hair that reaches her shoulders. A gauntlet-shaped device covers her left hand.
"Kitanagi, show me your hand."
She extends her left arm towards me. She must be planning on using that device. But, judging by the expression on Katsuki's face, she plans to differ.
"Don't touch him."
They glare at each other. Then, the woman raises her right arm, and a gust of wind tosses Katsuki away. The woman approaches me from behind. I'm still on my knees, and I still can't move. I feel her breasts press against my back as she snatches my left hand with hers. The image on her device rapidly alters its image until I see the word 'confirmed'.
"So, it's true. You have an immunity."
She must be talking about becoming a vampire. After all, Katsuki is a Shinso.
"Come with me."
She injects something on my neck. It feels like another bite, but the effect is reverse.
"I gave you a syringe. You should be able to move now."
Boltys of lightning race towards her instantly. The force of it pushes her back. Katsuki runs to me, looking worried.
"Are you ok?"
"You're still worried about me?"
"Of course. You are mine after all."
"I'm not sure about that. She said something about an immunity."
I look at the woman as I speak. She's in pain, but she's attempting to stand. Her device has malfunctioned.
Katsuki strolls towards her.
"I'm going to finish her."
... Death. Soon, I will witness death. Just the thought of it make me feel nauseous. Someone will die in front of me.
"Stop it!"
I don't want to see it. I cannot bear the image of death with my eyes. I'm far too vulnerable.
They both face towards me as they cease to function. It's very strange and sudden, but it seems that they were fighting over me.
"Listen. Before anything else happens, I want answers. I don't know who you are or what you want. I'm so confused right now. Katsuki, why have you chosen me, and what do you mean by 'yours'? And you, where did you come from, and what is this immunity that you told me? I don't understand any of this!"
Now, they both glare at me. The other woman stands up.
"Very well. It seems that you will cooperate more efficiently if you gain more knowledge. My name is Mitsurugi Nanashi. My job is to find a cure for becoming a vampire."
Katsuki looks surprised.
"A cure? Are you saying that this guy has the cure?"
"He meets all the requirements. We must research on him."
"Wow. This sounds useful."
Useful? For Katsuki?
"Hey, Katsuki? Isn't this bad for you?"
"No. Not really. I don't know what you are thinking, but Shinso do not need blood. Shito do need blood, and they get more destructive. Some Shinso, such as I, do not like their actions, and we try to gather more Shito to destroy the destructive Shito."
A battle between vampires?
"Wait. Aren't Shito made by Shinso?"
"Yes, but there's an alternative. Some humans seek immortality, and they see vampires as immortal. They have found a way to mutate themselves as real Shito. However, immortality isn't enough for them. Once they found a way to stay alive, they seek for power. More and more will they try to make things as they see fit. They just never stop."
"So, this immunity can be used against them?"
"I'm not sure. Let's have Nanashi take you to get examined."
That didn't sound right. Then again, none of this looks right.
"Alright, If it means to save the humans and Shinso, then I accept."
Nanashi approaches me.
"Very well. Hold me tight. We'll be going."
Katsuki then steps in between us.
"No way. If we're going somewhere, I'll have him with me."
"I don't trust you. You might take him away!"
"He is mine, so he will stay with me!"
Do they realize how embarassing this is?
"Stop!"
They both stop again. Do they need me that much?
"Alright then. Neither of you are going to carry me. Let's just walk. I still have much to talk about."
That should resolve their problem and give me time to calm down.

And so, I am guided towards my new path.

Comments

You should change "Not one part of my body moves a single inch" to "I got a fucking huge boner".

But in all seriousness, I read the whole thing and I liked it alot for a chapter. If it was a book I would buy it, or atleast check it out at the library.

Sexy story, no? I'm still writing it. I let a couple of my friends read it, and they want to read more.

Will put part 2 up later.

awsome story:O
i love those storys, although i'm more a werewolf type.
it's verry interesting, i'll look forwards to the next part.
i totaly agree with Smidly, this would make a best-seller is it was a book:D i'm sure of that.

I was thinking about putting other things, such as werewolves and elves. I would have to find a way to fit them in first.
